Brooke Moss post an NCAA provisional qualifying time in the 3,000m steeplechase.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Moss had the lone provisional qualifying mark of the day for UCCS as she finished third overall in the 3,000m steeplechase with a converted time of 10:58.23 that was just about four seconds off her season-best time that she established last week at the RMAC Outdoor Championships. Redshirt junior Molly Breuer raced to a season-best converted time of 11:03.66 in the event as she finished just behind Moss in fourth place.
- Sophomore Brett Davis was just under a second off the NCAA provisional qualifying threshold in the men's 1500m (3:48.16) as he posted a season-best converted time of 3:49.14 to finish second overall out of 15 runners in the race. Three additional Mountain Lions finished inside the top 10 with redshirt sophomore Enzo Knapp finishing fourth in a converted time of 3:56.71, redshirt freshman Jonas Graff taking fifth place with a converted time of 3:58.09, and redshirt freshman Colin Scheller securing sixth place at a converted time of 4:03.30.
- Freshman Jacob Silvis ran the men's 800m and posted a converted time of 1:55.84 to finish sixth out of 16 competitors.
UP NEXT
- The Mountain Lions will head to a trio of last chance meets next week across two different states. A handful of distance runners and combined athlete Evan Atkin will travel to Azusa, Calif. for the Franson Last Chance meet which will take place on May 8-10, while the throwers will head to the Concordia Twilight in Seward, Neb. on May 9 and the sprinters and jumpers will make their way to the Loper Twilight in Kearney, Neb. on May 10.
