COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Sophomore Jacqueline Berkowitz of the University of Colorado Colorado Springs softball team has been selected to the 2025 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Softball Academic All-District First Team, as announced by the organization on Tuesday morning.
 
The 2025 Academic All-District® Softball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes softball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
 
A 2025 RMAC All-Academic First Team honoree, outfielder Jacqueline Berkowitz collects CSC Academic All-District First Team accolades for the first time in her collegiate career after a sophomore season in which she excelled on the softball diamond and in the classroom while pursuing her degree in business. A native of Scottsdale, Ariz., Berkowitz put together a strong second season with the Mountain Lions as she posted a .301 batting average with seven doubles, one triple, one home run, and 30 RBIs across 52 games played. Berkowitz was a regular at the top of the lineup for the Mountain Lions throughout the 2025 campaign as she was slotted into the No. 2 spot in the order for 51 games and went on to post 14 multi-hit games, including a four-hit effort on Feb. 16 against Colorado School of Mines in which she drove in three runs and launched her first collegiate home run. The second-year outfielder also provided the Mountain Lions with a steady presence on the defensive side of the ball as she committed just two errors in 63 total chances for a .968 fielding percentage across 50 games played at her primary position in left field.
 
The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2022-23 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs.
