COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Eleven student-athletes from the University of Colorado Colorado Springs softball team have earned Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) All-Academic honors, as announced by the conference office on Tuesday afternoon. Sophomore Jacqueline Berkowitz headlined the group as she was voted to the First Team, while Laynee Case, Jennavieve Goldsworth, Alyssa Gutierrez, Alyssa Haberstroh, Katelyn Kilgore, Autumn Kunze, Edyn Lopez, Gianna Pancost, Mackenzie Scott, and Jacquelynn Siefken were each named to the Honor Roll.

Redshirt senior Ally Distler of Colorado Mesa University was voted as the RMAC Softball Academic Player of the Year for the third time in her collegiate career after another strong season in the classroom and on the diamond.

The RMAC All-Academic First Team and Academic Player of the Year awards were voted on by the conference's sports information directors.

To be eligible for consideration on the RMAC All-Academic First Team, a student-athlete must have been an active student at the institution for at least two consecutive semesters or three consecutive quarters and carry a cumulative 3.50 grade point average (GPA). All student-athletes who met those requirements but were not selected for the First Team, or have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.30, automatically qualified for the Honor Roll.

A second-year player from Scottsdale, Ariz., Berkowitz makes her first career appearance on the RMAC All-Academic First Team after putting forth a strong season on the diamond to go along with her impressive performance in the classroom as a business major. In 52 games played during the 2025 season, Berkowitz was a staple at the top of the lineup as she posted a .301 batting average with seven doubles, a triple, and her first collegiate home run while driving in 30 runs. The sophomore outfielder also displayed her talents on the defensive end from her position in left field as she committed just two errors in 63 total chances for a .968 fielding percentage.
