Softball Earns 2025-26 EASTON/NFCA Academic Recognition

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Colorado Colorado Springs softball team secured academic recognition from the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) on Wednesday as the program earned an academic team award and had 15 student-athletes named to the EASTON/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete list following the 2025-26 campaign.
 
The UCCS softball program posted a 3.447 cumulative GPA for the 2025-26 academic year and were one of five teams from the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) to be honored with a team award, with Black Hills State University, Colorado School of Mines, Metropolitan State University Denver, and Colorado State University Pueblo also earning the accolade.
 
The Mountain Lions also had 15 student-athletes named to the 2025-26 EASTON/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete list. Nearly 9,200 student-athletes across the collegiate ranks achieved Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete status for the past academic year. Student-athletes who attained a 3.5 GPA or better on a 4.0 scale during the 2025-26 academic year were recognized as NFCA Scholar-Athletes.
