Women's Basketball Season Recap
- The University of Colorado Colorado Springs women's basketball team had a fantastic 2024-25 season, making their first NCAA tournament appearance since the 2016-17 season. They achieved this after winning the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference tournament as the sixth seed, defeating No. 3 Adams State University, No. 2 Western Colorado University, and No. 1 Colorado Mesa University in the championship game.
- The Mountain Lions started their season by going 2-3 in non-conference play, winning against Midwestern State University at home and the University of Central Missouri in the Hoops in Hawaii Classic.
- UCCS started their conference schedule with wins over Colorado Mesa University and Westminster University on Dec. 5 and Dec. 7. The Mountain Lions dropped their first RMAC game versus Black Hills State University but secured a win over Chadron State College to start their conference schedule 3-1.
- The Mountain Lions collected two non-conference wins to end 2024 with a 6-5 record. Out of the break, UCCS dropped two straight to Colorado Christian University and CSU Pueblo on Jan. 7 and Jan. 11. The Mountain Lions got back on track with a win over Regis University on Jan. 16 but lost to Metropolitan State University of Denver on Jan. 18.
- UCCS found its stride from there, winning three straight games and seven of its next 10 contests. The Mountain Lions split their final two games of the regular season versus Colorado School of Mines and Regis on Feb. 27 and Mar. 1. They entered the RMAC tournament as the sixth seed with a 12-8 record in conference play.
- The Mountain Lions started their journey to an RMAC tournament championship title with a 63-60 win over the No. 3 seed, Adams State, on Mar. 4. UCCS followed that up with a 69-55 win over the No. 2 seed, Western Colorado, and would play for the RMAC tournament title for the second season in a row.
- UCCS would face the tournament host and No. 1 seed, Colorado Mesa, on Mar. 8. The Mountain Lions were down 15 points early in the game but battled hard and took the lead late in the fourth quarter. UCCS would hold on and win the game 63-61, securing their third conference title in program history and their second tournament championship title (2017). The Mountain Lions received a No. 7 seed placement in the South Central Region.
- UCCS' fantastic season ended on Mar. 14, when they lost in a tough 68-65 battle, in the NCAA South Central Regional Quarterfinal to Lubbock Christian University, the No. 11 ranked team in the country.

Statistical Leaders

- Amyah Moore Allen led all scorers on the team with 19.2 points per game, ranked as the fourth-highest points per game average in the conference. Maison White was second on the team in scoring, posting 12.1 points per game. Breelyn Robinson and Gia Bradley were the third and fourth leading scorers on the team on the season, averaging 6.3 points per game and five points per game, respectively.
- Moore Allen recorded the season high in points scored in a game for the Mountain Lions with 40 on 16-of-21 shooting from the field on February 27 in a win over Colorado School of Mines.
- White led the team in field goal percentage, shooting 54.8 percent. Amaya Snowden was second on the team, shooting 47.5 percent, and Moore Allen was third, shooting 47.3 percent from the field.
- Ellie Reynolds and Emily Vidal were nearly automatic from the free throw line as the two-shot 93.8 percent and 85.7 percent from the charity stripe this season.
- Moore Allen, Reynolds, Robinson, and Vidal served as the Mountain Lions' main distributors this season, averaging 2.5, 1.7, 1.1, and 1.0 assists, respectively.
- White paced the team on the defensive end, pulling down the most rebounds, an average of 10.6 rebounds a game, the third most in the RMAC. She also led the team in blocked shots with 22. On Jan 25, versus Fort Lewis College, White grabbed a team-season-high 17 rebounds.
- Moore Allen led the team in total steals and steals per contest with 56 and 1.8 per game. She was sixth in the RMAC in total steals. Robinson was second on the team in steals with 37, an average of 1.2 per game.
- Six Mountain Lions appeared in all 31 contests, including Moore Allen, White, Robinson, Bradley, Reynolds, and Snowden. Four Mountain Lions averaged over 20 minutes per game a night, with those being Moore Allen (30.2), White (26.5), Robinson (24.4), and Bradley (20.2).
- UCCS ranked fifth in the RMAC in both points per game (65.5) and field goal percentage (40.4 percent). They were aggressive in drawing fouls, attempting the second most free throws in the conference (601), and creating second-chance opportunities with 10.8 offensive rebounds per game (fourth in RMAC).
- The Mountain Lions showcased elite interior defense, ranking third in blocks per game (3.26) and second in total blocks (101). They held opponents to just 63.5 points per game (fourth lowest in the RMAC) and opponents to shoot 39 percent from the field (fourth best in the RMAC). UCCS earned the fifth-best margin of victory in the RMAC (+1.9).

- Maison White capped off her career as one of the best players in program history. White finishes her career with the fourth most points in program history with 1,374 and the most rebounds with 998. In the 2024-25 season, White grabbed 329 rebounds—the most in a single season in program history—and her 10.6 rebounds per game also set a new program record for a season average. White averaged 8.7 rebounds per game for her career, the best in program history. White ended up with 41 career double-doubles after recording 14 in the 2024-25 season.
- Amyah Moore Allen had a historic season for the Mountain Lions, showcasing exceptional play on both ends, and her 2024-25 campaign ranks among the best individual seasons in program history. Starting in all 31 games, Moore Allen averaged 30.2 minutes, 19.2 points, 3.3 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 1.8 steals, and 0.7 blocks per game. She shot 47.3 percent from the field, 24.7 percent from beyond the arc, and 75.3 percent from the free throw line. On February 27, she delivered a record-breaking 40-point performance, the highest single-game scoring output in program history. Moore Allen finished the season with 596 total points, the second most ever scored in a single season and the most by a junior—her 19.2 points per game ties for the fourth-highest single-season scoring average in program history. Throughout her career, Moore Allen has appeared in 73 games, averaging 15.9 points per game. That career scoring average ranks as the fourth highest in program history. With 1,162 total points, she currently sits eighth on the Mountain Lions' all-time scoring list.
- UCCS scored 2,029 points this year, which ranks as the sixth-most points scored in a season in program history.
- After two seasons as head coach for the Mountain Lions, Misty Wilson has a 42-20 record, two RMAC playoff appearances, one RMAC tournament title, a record of 5-1 in the RMAC tournament in the last two seasons, and now an NCAA Tournament appearance.

Regional Rankings
- UCCS earned recognition in the NCAA South Central Regional Rankings, appearing at No. 10 on Feb. 26 after being under consideration for the initial release on Feb. 19.
