Joseph Impellitteri of the University of Colorado Colorado Springs track & field team led a group of three student-athletes competing in the men's steeplechase this afternoon at the Maverick Invite #2.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Impellitteri was the second-place finisher in the men's 3,000m steeplechase as he recorded a personal best converted mark of 9:37.93. Fellow redshirt freshman Turner Schad also posted a personal best converted time of 10:04.76 to claim fifth place, while redshirt junior Blake Ohlson clocked a converted time of 10:37.14.
UP NEXT
- The Mountain Lions will head to Golden, Colo., to compete at the Kit Mayer Classic in their final weekend of competition before the 2024 RMAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships. UCCS will be competing only on the second day of the meet at Colorado School of Mines, which will be on Saturday, April 20.
