COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Coming off a historic 2024 campaign, the University of Colorado Colorado Springs men's soccer team earned a No. 18 ranking in the final national poll released by United Soccer Coaches on Tuesday afternoon.
 
Lynn University, which was tabbed as the top ranked team in the country for the final seven releases of the United Soccer Coaches National Rankings, maintained their No. 1 position in the last poll after going on to win the NCAA Division II Men's Soccer Championship this past weekend. The Mountain Lions were joined in the top 25 by a pair of RMAC institutions, with Colorado State University Pueblo landing at No. 3 and Fort Lewis College being tabbed at No. 6.
 
The Mountain Lions put together one of the most successful seasons in program history in 2024 as they established new program-bests with 14 wins and a .730 winning percentage while attaining a program-high No. 3 ranking in the United Soccer Coaches Week 9 National Poll. UCCS went on to earn a selection to the NCAA Division II Men's Soccer Tournament for the second consecutive season, and as the No. 3 seed in Super Region 4, made their first appearance in the second round of the national tournament and hosted their first NCAA match in program history.
 
Although their season came to an end following a second-round defeat at the hands of Fort Lewis, the Mountain Lions had no shortage of postseason awards as they had six student-athletes earn All-RMAC accolades with junior Soren Russell and senior Dani Barajas also being voted to the D2CCA All-South Central Region teams. Barajas, who finished his senior season with 12 goals, five assists, and 29 points, went on to become just the fifth player in men's soccer program history to earn All-America honors as he was named as a D2CCA Second Team All-American on Dec. 10.
 
UCCS will open their 2025 season on Thursday, Sept. 4, 2025, with a home match against Sul Ross State.
