HOW IT HAPPENED
- Sunday afternoon's match started in CSUP's favor as in the 7th minute ThunderWolves forward Gabriel Campora sent a rocket to the top left of the goal from about 25 yards out putting them up 1-0.
- Pueblo's defense was locked in containing the Mountain Lion's attack any time they had possession as UCCS only got two shots up in the first half going into the break down one.
- The second half started with a similar story as the ThunderWolves defense contained the Mountain Lions attack. Any time UCCS got something going, a swarm of CSU Pueblo defenders would come and take back possession.
- UCCS had one of their best chances to tie it late in the match as in the 88th minute Dani Barajas got a good look at the goal, but Pueblo defenders were there to collect a team save. The Mountain Lions got two more shots up in the 89th minute but couldn't get them to go resulting in a 1-0 loss.
