AZUSA, Calif. – The University of Colorado Colorado Springs track & field team started off their California trip on Thursday morning at the Bryan Clay Invitational.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Redshirt junior Hannah Ellis was the lone Mountain Lion in action on Thursday as she raced in the women's open 10000m race. Ellis, who was competing in her first 10k of the 2022 outdoor season, crossed the line in 22nd place with a time of 37:56.98.
BEYOND THE RESULTS
- The women's open 10000m run at the Bryan Clay Invitational consisted of 24 Division I runners among the field of 38 total competitors.
UP NEXT
- The Mountain Lions will have a much larger group of athletes competing tomorrow as the Bryan Clay Invitational continues with action beginning at 10:30 a.m. (MT) from the Cougar Athletic Stadium. Evan Graff and Afewerki Zeru will also be in action at the Mt. SAC relays with Graff competing in the 1500m race at approximately 7:25 p.m. (MT) and Zeru running the 5000m race at 11:35 p.m. (MT).
