FROM THE TEE
  • Julia Baroth paced the Mountain Lions with a 153 to finish tied for 11th overall.  In the opening round, Baroth drained four birdies and 10 pars.  She posted a 34 on the back nine after sinking three birdies to finish the round with a one-over par 73.  In the second round, she added seven strokes (80) while hitting par on 11 holes.  All four of her birdies on the day came in round one.
  • Jordyn Allen carded an 80 in round one followed by a 79 for a 159.  After starting the tournament on hole 13 and shooting three-over par, she rebounded to notch three pars and a birdie on her next four holes.  Allen had a short memory as she started the second round on hole 13 again, this time starting with a birdie on the par 5 hole. In her first seven holes to start round two, Allen shot two-under par.
  • Tied for 39th place with a 161 was Olivia Florence who posted a 79 and 82.  She drained a birdie on her second hole of the day (par 5, hole 15) and posted her second birdie of the day in the second round, going one-under on par 3 hole 6.
  • One shot behind Florence for 43rd place was Emily Shimkus with a 162 (83, 79).  Shimkus notched two birdies in a three-hole span in the opening round and added another birdie for good measure in the second round on hole 1.
  • Just outside of scoring for the Mountain Lions was Samantha Saile who posted a 171 to finish 67th overall (84, 87).  Competing as individuals were Rachel Penzenstadler and Mackenzie Fontana.  Penzenstadler finished tied for 32nd with a 159 (78, 81) while Fontana earned a 71st place finish behind a 175 (85, 90).

  • University of Nebraska-Kearney won the team title with a 31-over par 607 (298, 309).  After leading by three strokes after the first round, Colorado Christian University placed second overall with a 610, while Simon Fraser University and CSU Pueblo tied for third place with a 621.  CCU's Faith Kilgore bested all 81 golfers with a two-under par 142 (67, 75).
