LITCHFIELD PARK, Ariz. – Three University of Colorado Colorado Springs women's golfers are currently placed in the top 15 of the 2021 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Women's Golf Championship Tournament, held at Wigwam Golf Course in Litchfield Park, Ariz. As a team, UCCS is in fifth place overall with an opening round of 320.

Emily Shimkus are sitting in the top 15 of the tournament. Eaton's 78 currently has her tied for eighth place as she notched two birdies today on holes No. 10 and 16.
One stroke behind Eaton are Kreil and Shimkus who are tied for 13
th place with a 79. Kreil's first hole of the tournament ended with a birdie. She added another birdie on hole No. 7 as she carded a 38 on the front nine.
Regina Dillon rounds out the Mountain Lions top scorers on Sunday with an 84 for 33
rd place (tie). Dillon also added a birdie on the opening day, draining one on the final hole (No. 18).
TOURNAMENT LEADERS
Metropolitan State University Denver and Colorado Christian University are tied for first place, leading all 12 teams with a 313. The Cougars Faith Kilgore and Emily Donaldson share the individual lead with a three-over par 74.

UCCS will begin round two on Monday as they start teeing off from hole No. 1 at 12:29 p.m.
