COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Coming off two key wins this past weekend, the University of Colorado Colorado Springs men's basketball team is ranked No. 10 in this week's NCAA Division II South Central Regional poll.
The Mountain Lions (16-9) defeated South Dakota School of Mines and Technology on Friday night at home, 74-62, and Black Hills State University on Saturday, 73-61. The Yellow Jackets are ranked No. 6 in this week's South Central Region.
West Texas A&M University is currently ranked No. 1 in the region, followed by St. Edward's University and Dixie State University in the top three.
UCCS will close out the regular season at home this Friday, Feb. 28 against Colorado School of Mines. The Orediggers are ranked No. 7 in this week's South Central Regional poll. The Mountain Lions enter Friday's game tied for fifth in the league standings with a 13-8 record. UCCS opened the conference season at Colorado School of Mines on Nov. 30, 2019, defeating the Orediggers, 82-77.
