COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Thirteen-year-old Everett Perry of Team IMPACT signed his National Letter of Intent and has officially joined the University of Colorado Colorado Springs men's basketball program, announced tonight by head coach
Jeff Culver along with Everett's family during a formal announcement tonight on the campus of UCCS.
"We are excited to welcome Everett to our Mountain Lion family," Culver stated. "He brings positive energy and a passion for the game that will certainly elevate our program to a championship level!"
The Mountain Lions are in their fifth year partnering with Team IMPACT. Team IMPACT is a two-year program that matches children facing serious illness and disabilities with college sports teams, creating a long-term, life-changing experience for everyone involved.
Founded in 2011, team impact has matched more than twenty-three hundred children at seven hundred colleges and universities.
The Mountain Lions are scheduled to open their season at home on Friday, Nov. 13 as they take on Cameron University inside the Gallogly Events Center.
