  • On Sunday, October 6, the Mountain Lions will face off against Dixie State University (DSU) at 1 p.m. inside Mountain Lion Stadium.
Game Coverage Last Time Out
  • #1 UCCS has now won eight straight games to start the season as they took care of both Western Colorado University (WCU) and Colorado Mesa University (CMU) last weekend. The Mountain Lions are now 8-0 overall and 4-0 in the RMAC.
  • Against WCU, the Mountain Lions dominated yet again as they outshot the Mountaineers 30-2, including 16-0 in shots on goal.
  • Four different Mountain Lions scored in this game as sophomore Amelia Junge scored the first goal of the game in the 15th minute. Senior Aleesa Muir and freshman Kaitlin Hinkle would add two more goals in the first half to make the score 3-0, with the assist on Hinkle's goal going to freshman Tanner Sanders.
  • In the second half, Sanders also found the back of the net and Hinkle added another for good measure as UCCS went on to win by a score of 5-0.
  • The game against CMU was more competitive as both teams failed to score in the first half. UCCS only managed to get off three shots in the first half but did not allow CMU a single shot.
  • The Mountain Lions turned it on in the second half with 11 shots (five on goal). After 13 minutes had gone by in the second half, Hinkle broke the scoreless tie off an assist from redshirt junior Shanade Hopcroft.
  • The Mountain Lion defense held strong yet again by not allowing a single shot on goal, and in the 86th minute Sanders added a second goal for UCCS to put the game away 2-0.
RMAC Record/Standings
  • UCCS still sits at the top of the RMAC with their 8-0 overall record and 4-0 RMAC record.
The Series
