COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – University of Colorado Colorado Springs head women's soccer coach J.B. Belzer announced on Wednesday morning the hiring of former UCCS student-athletes Jade Kinsey and Anne Louthan as the volunteer assistant coaches of the Mountain Lion women's soccer program ahead of the 2026 season.
"We are excited to bring back two outstanding alumni as volunteer coaches to our #10 ranked women's soccer program for this academic year 2026-2027," said Belzer. "Jade Kinsey and Anne Louthan will bring high level playing experience, championship mentality, and their love for UCCS to our student-athletes and fellow coaches. Welcome back Jade & Anne!"
Kinsey returns to UCCS where she played for the women's soccer team from 2019-23. After her time at UCCS came to an end, she became the Varsity Assistant Soccer Coach for both the boys and girls teams at Discovery Canyon Campus High School from 2023-26. Kinsey now works as a Juvenile Probation Officer for El Paso County Probation.
During her five seasons competing as a Mountain Lion, Kinsey played in 87 games, which is tied for second all-time for UCCS, while the team earned a 75-16-7 overall record. She is also tied for third all-time in games started with 71, and played the most minutes of any other Mountain Lion with 6,140. Along with the impressive team record, Kinsey was a part of the 2021 RMAC Tournament Championship winning team, and made it to the NCAA Division II Tournament four times, reaching the quarterfinals in 2023 as well as the Sweet 16 in 2021. Her career accolades as a Mountain Lion include: D2CCA All-South Central Region First Team, United Soccer Coaches All-South Central Region First Team, 4x RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll, All-RMAC First Team, and 3x RMAC Defensive Player of the Week (Oct. 10, 2023, Sept. 26, 2023, Oct. 12, 2021).
Kinsey, a graduate of Rampart High School, hails from Colorado Springs, and earned a Bachelor of Sociology and Criminal Justice from UCCS in December 2023.
Louthan also played for the UCCS women's soccer team during the 2022 campaign after the 2021 season where she attended Oklahoma Baptist University. She would then go on to finish her collegiate soccer career at Dallas Baptist University for the 2024-25 seasons.
In her lone season with UCCS, Louthan made an impact as she finished as one of just five Mountain Lions to start all 22 games. She helped her team earn a 14-4-4 record, reached the NCAA Tournament Second Round, and played over 1,846 minutes, which is fifth all-time in a sophomore season for UCCS. Louthan also received United Soccer Coaches All-South Central Region First Team and All RMAC Second Team honors.
Louthan's success would continue after UCCS, as she competed in all 44 games in her two seasons with DBU, along with notching 20 goals and 11 assists. She contributed to a 36-5-3 record, won the 2025 Lone Star Conference Tournament, and reached the 2025 NCAA Tournament Quarterfinals. Through her four years of competition across three schools, Louthan finished her collegiate soccer career with 86 games played (84 started), 6,616 minutes played, 31 goals, and 16 assists.
Also a native of Colorado, Louthan graduated from Air Academy High School in 2021. She was an Accelerated Nursing Student at UCCS and earned her Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies with an emphasis on Biology and Sports Management in 2026.
