COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The fourth-seeded University of Colorado Colorado Springs women's soccer team (13-3-2) will host its first-ever home playoff game in program history when the Mountain Lions host fifth-seeded Fort Lewis (12-3-3) in the first round of the RMAC Tournament at Mountain Lion Stadium at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

The Mountain Lions have earned their third RMAC tournament berth in the fifth year of the program and will be meeting the Skyhawks for the second time this season. UCCS defeated Fort Lewis 1-0 in Durango on Sept. 23.

UCCS is 9-1-1 at home this season and haven't lost a home during the month of October. No other RMAC team has more wins at home this season.

The Mountain Lions dropped to seventh in the new National Soccer Coaches Association America South Central Region Poll after a road weekend with RMAC tournament qualifiers. UCCS is ranked fourth in the NCAA South Central Region rankings, with new rankings scheduled to be released today. The NCAA rankings are used by the NCAA Division II Women's Soccer National Committee to postseason selections.

Fort Lewis earned the fifth seed after a 4-0 win against Colorado Christian and a 3-3 tie with RMAC regular season champion Regis. The Skyhawks are fifth in the same NSCAA poll from yesterday and sixth in last week's NCAA regional poll. Sam Weiss leads the Fort Lewis offense, and the RMAC, with 14 goals this season, and more than double anyone else on the Skyhawk team. Amanda Raso went 10-2-2 as goalkeeper and is second in the conference with a 0.66 goals-against average.

Agnes Arnadottir, the all-time UCCS leader for points scored in a season, leads a balanced Mountain Lion offense with nine goals and seven assists. Hannah Levett sits one goal behind Arnadottir and third in all-time UCCS program records for goals in a season. Two-time RMAC Defensive Player of the Week Kelly Schroeder is eighth in conference records with 14 career shutouts, and eight this season. She's second in the RMAC in saves and third in goals-against average.

The other game in the RMAC today will be the No. 3 seed Metro State hosting No .6 seeded Colorado Mesa at noon. The winner of the UCCS/Fort Lewis game will travel to play No. 1 Regis while the winner of the Metro State/Colorado Mesa game will travel to play No. 2 seed Colorado Mines. Both games will take place at 12 p.m., on Friday.
