DENVER, Colo. - The No. 18 University of Colorado Colorado Springs (13-2-2 / 9-2-2 RMAC) closes out the 2012 regular season with a chance to secure a first round bye in next week's RMAC tournament when the Mountain Lions face Metro State (11-4-2 / 8-3-2 RMAC) Sunday at noon in Denver.

The Mountain Lions can clinch a bye in the first round with a win and could win the RMAC with a win and a Regis loss. UCCS stands two points behind Regis and one point ahead of Colorado Mines in the standings. Metro State and Fort Lewis are three points behind the Mountain Lions and are tied for fourth in the standings at 26 points.

UCCS is guaranteed to finish no lower than fourth in the RMAC standings. Colorado Mesa is secure as the No. 6 seed in the tournament, and the Mountain Lions hold the tiebreaker with Fort Lewis if the teams end up tied.

Metro State is coming off an 8-0 win over New Mexico Highlands on Friday. The Roadrunner offense is led by Karisa Price, who is coming off a hat trick in the game and has scored 14 goals. Goalkeeper Jordan Simkins is fourth in the RMAC for her 0.93 goals-against-average. Simkins also stands in a tie for second in the RMAC in shutouts behind the UCCS goalkeeper Kelly Schroeder.

The No. 18 Mountain Lions are coming off a 2-2 tie with Colorado Mines. Agnes Arnadottir  has scored in the last five games and broke the program record for points in a season yesterday with her ninth goal of the year. Hannah Levett is also part of a balanced scoring effort for UCCS with her eight goals this season.

Two-time RMAC Defensive Player of the Week Kelly Schroeder is leading the conference with eight shutouts this season, is second in the conference for saves and save percentage and third in goals-against-average. She's eighth in career RMAC shutouts with 14.
