Fort Lewis' Bryan Eisenbraun scored 20 minutes into Friday's match as the Skyhawks defeated the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs 3-0 at Durango.
It marked the second straight match, and the sixth this season, the Mountain Lions had been shut out. Fort Lewis also shut out CU-Colorado Springs 1-0 on Sept. 19.
CU-Colorado Springs (2-10-0, 1-7-0 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference) had 12 shots, five of which were on goal from
Brian Best,
Marcus Reynolds,
Eric Foulk,
Juan Nolasco and
Kenny Salazar. Fort Lewis goalkeeper Nick Clark made four saves in 85 minutes before being relieved by Tom Donley, who added one save.
It was the sixth shutout of the season for the Skyhawks, who improved to 11-1-1 overall and 6-0-1 in the RMAC.
Eisenbraun headed in a John Cunliffe corner kick for the match's first score. Cole Sweetser hit his ninth goal of the year behing the passing of Ryan Brooks and Cunliffe in the 59th minute. Ryan Parsons put the match away at 78:10 by redirecting a Casey Roberts pass.
Chris Hovasse had six saves for CU-Colorado Springs.
