2005: Started in all 17 games ... Had two assists, in a 1-5 loss at Fort Lewis on Sep 16, and another in a 1-3 loss at Colorado College. 

2004: Started all but one match as a junior for UCCS ... Saw most his action on defense, being part of a unit that allowed one or fewer goals in seven of teams' 17 contests ... Also took 17 shots, eight of which were on goal. 

2003: Started all 18 matches for the Mountain Lions ... Named to the 2003 All-RMAC Tournament team ... Scored his lone goal of the year in the Mountain Lions 3-2 double-overtime loss to nationally ranked Fort Lewis on Sept 21 ... Finished the season with 10 shots on goal. 

2002: Played in all 16 matches as a freshman ... Had a pair of assists against Fort Lewis on Sept 8 ... Had his third assist of the season Sept 15 vs. Regis

Before UCCS: Was named to the Academic All-State team three times while at Greeley West High School ... Led Greeley West in scoring three years ... Also received first-team All-Conference and second-team All-State honors.

Personal: Majoring in Geography and Environmental Studies ... Enjoys rock climbing and snowboarding ... Has one brother, Brandon ... Parents are Neil and Joyce Best ... Born on July 26, 1983.
