The Midwestern State Indians scored on their second shot of Friday's match, then rode an Elliott Gallagher hat trick to a 4-0 victory over the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs at Wichita Falls, Texas.

The Mountain Lions lost their sixth consecutive match and are now 1-7. They will remain in Wichita Falls to play a neutral-site match against St. Mary's on Sunday.

Gallagher directed a header from the center circle that resulted in a breakaway goal for Jimmy Krueger in the 10th minute. Gallagher then scored three times, once in the first half and twice in the second. His final goal was a bizarre 75-yarder that caught goalkeeper Justin Elliott, who was making his first start of the season, too far away from the goal. The ball sailed over his head and bounced in.

CU-Colorado Springs has now been shut out in four of its past six matches and is averaging only 0.75 goals per game.

Midwestern State, which is ranked fourth in the Midwest Region, improved to 7-2.
