CLEVELAND, Ohio – The final 2025-26 Learfield Directors' Cup standings were released Tuesday by the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA), with the University of Colorado Colorado Springs finishing 51st among NCAA Division II institutions with 354.5 points.
UCCS opened the academic year with a strong fall season, as all five postseason-eligible programs qualified for NCAA Championship competition. The Mountain Lions led all Division II institutions in the initial Directors' Cup standings with 289.5 points, led by strong performances from men's and women's cross country, men's and women's soccer, and volleyball.
The momentum continued during the winter season as women's basketball contributed 50 points to the Mountain Lions' total after advancing to the second round of the NCAA South Central Regional Tournament.
UCCS added 15 points during the spring championship season. The men's outdoor track and field team earned one point at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships, finishing in a five-way tie for 58th place nationally.
Grand Valley State University captured its 18th Learfield Directors' Cup title after accumulating 1,089.75 points across 20 sports.
The Learfield Directors' Cup, presented by NACDA and USA Today, recognizes overall athletic department success by awarding points based on institutional finishes in NCAA Championship competition throughout the academic year.
