Box Score COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The University of Colorado Colorado Springs men's basketball team shot 30 percent from behind the arc and committed 29 fouls as they fell 101-94 victory to Adams State University.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Mountain Lions fell to an early 10-4 deficit through the first three minutes of Thursday night's game and struggled to keep pace with the Grizzlies for much of the first half. ASU's Wyatt Helming hit a three-point shot to take an eight-point lead and give him ten points before the 14-minute mark of the first.
- The Grizzlies would notch their highest lead of the first half, as Helming made a layup to go up 34-21 with just under nine minutes to play. Xavier Martinez would hit a free throw soon after, followed by a three from Mario Williams Jr. to lessen the deficit. Down by 11, Martinez sank a three-point shot to spark a 15-6 run capped by a three from Alexander Hurr as the Mountain Lions fell within two. UCCS would soon tie the game up at 48 apiece on a free throw from Shawn Williams but would give up a three and a layup to the Grizzlies as they went into halftime down 53-48.
- The Mountain Lions kept the game close early in the second half, even tying it up at 60 apiece on a three from Hurr. The Grizzlies would then run away with the game, going on a 22-7 run to go up 82-67. ASU would hold onto the lead for the remainder of the second half to claim a 101-94 victory. The Mountain Lions shot 20 percent from three-point range, 44.2 percent from the field, and fouled the Grizzlies 20 times.
GAME STATISTICS
- Williams, Hurr, Jezza McKenzie, and Williams Jr. were the four Mountain Lions to finish in double figures on Thursday as Williams led the team with 24 points.
- The Mountain Lions finished with 46 rebounds to the Grizzlies' 36 with Williams leading the team with 13.
- The Mountain Lions shot 45.5 percent from the field (35-of-77), 30 percent from the three-point line (9-of-30) and 62.5 percent from the free throw line (15-of-24).
- UCCS had 16 points off turnovers, 50 in the paint, 29 from second chances, 20 off fast breaks, and 52 from the bench.

- Williams notched his second double-double of the season with 24 points and 13 rebounds.
