Maison White and
Amyah Moore Allen paced the University of Colorado Colorado Springs women's basketball team as they dominated South Dakota Mines Thursday night in a 64-49 win in Rapid City, S.D. UCCS outscored the Hardrockers 22-8 in the last quarter, as White and Moore Allen combined for 14 of the 22 points.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Hardrockers hit the first basket of the game before White netted back-to-back buckets for the Mountain Lions for their first four points on the scoreboard. An early South Dakota Mines three-pointer was answered on the next possession by Ellie Reynolds who banked in a three to tie the game, 7-7. In a quarter that featured seven ties, Amaya Snowden came off the bench and notched two straight layups to give the Mountain Lions their first lead of the game, 15-13. Both teams continued to trade baskets and remained tied at 17-all after one-quarter of action.
- White continued her scoring prowess with her eighth point of the game to open the second quarter before Moore Allen broke another tie to put UCCS back on top, 19-17. A 6-0 Hardrockers run put the Mountain Lions in a 25-21 deficit, but the black and gold stormed back and went on an 11-0 run, highlighted by two three-pointers from Breelyn Robinson. Robinson started the scoring spree on a set in-bounds play and drilled a three-pointer from the right wing only to complete a four-point play. South Dakota Mines was held scoreless for nearly six minutes before Savea Mansfield nabbed a steal and a bucket as time ran out, cutting in UCCS' lead, 32-27, at the half.
- The Hardrockers came out of the intermission putting on offensive pressure, starting with four straight points to bring them within one of UCCS, 32-31. Moore Allen sank a three-pointer to break almost a six-minute span without a field goal by the Mountain Lions at the 7:35 mark. The home team jumped into a 10-1 run before Krystina Hagood ended the spree with 3:23 left in the quarter to cut into South Dakota Mines' lead, 41-38. Snowden picked up a loose ball in the paint and finished the play with a turnaround layup before Mya Wilson chipped in two points to give UCCS a 42-41 lead after three full quarters.
- Starting the final stanza with a one-point lead, the Mountain Lions went off offensively in an attempt to put the game away. Robinson sank her third three-pointer of the night to cap a 9-2 run by UCCS, four of which came from Moore Allen. White sandwiched a timeout with a bucket on each end, giving the Mountain Lions their largest lead of the night, 55-45, with six minutes to go in regulation. UCCS rolled to a 64-49 win for their fourth straight win over South Dakota Mines.
GAME STATISTICS
- Three Mountain Lions scored in double digits behind Moore Allen's game-high 18 points. She added four steals and hit on 7-of-10 free throws.
- White finished the night with 16 points and 13 rebounds after netting 8-of-14 field goals.
- Robinson went 3-of-5 from behind the arc and added a free throw for 10 points.
- Reynolds chipped in three dimes, three assists, and three points.
- UCCS made 43.1 percent from the floor tonight (25-of-58), 31.3 percent from three-point range (5-of-16), and 52.9 percent from the charity stripe (9-of-17).

- The Mountain Lions held the advantage in points off turnovers (21-12), points in the paint (38-32), second chance points (15-6), fast break points (10-4) and points from the bench (17-11).
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- UCCS recorded a new season high in steals (15).
- The 49 points allowed are the third-fewest scored against UCCS this season.
- White posted her 11th double-double of the season and the 38th of her career.
- Moore Allen has scored at least 12 points in the last 12 games.
