COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The #19 University of Colorado Colorado Springs men's soccer team loses 4-2 to #14 Colorado State University Pueblo in the last conference match of the season inside CSUP Art & Lorraine Stadium in Pueblo, Colorado. The Mountain Lions are now Regular Season Co-Champions with RV Metropolitan State University of Denver.

All-Time Series: Wednesday evening's matchup against the Thunderwolves was the 71st in UCCS program history. UCCS is now 36-28-7 in the series.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- After an even battle back and forth on the pitch, CSUP managed to get the upper hand in the 27th minute. Joseph Delaney floated a free kick towards the back post, connecting with a header from Matty Parkes who slipped the ball just underneath Hugo Sjoberg's diving save. UCCS trails behind the Thunderwolves 1-0.
- In the 30th minute, 5th year forward Nick Cenek put CSUP ahead by two after scoring a header goal off of Delaney's stunning corner kick.
- Just 90 seconds later, Cenek scored his second goal of the night, earning CSUP a 3-0 lead over the Mountain Lions with 13 minutes remaining in the first half.
- In a last-minute attempt to put one in the net before halftime, Drew Sanchez booted a free kick just outside the 18-yard-box towards the backside of the goal. Dimitrios Leonogluo scrambled to get on the end of it, but his shot hit the right goal post and bounced out of bounds.
- After getting fouled in the box, CSUP was awarded a penalty kick. Cenek buried his shot into the lower left corner of the net, faking out Sjoberg who dived towards the right side of the goal. UCCS trailed by four in the 65th minute of the match.
- Fifth year midfielder Drew Sanchez began the Mountain Lions' comeback by striking the ball perfectly into the top right corner of the goal off a free kick on the arch of the box. Exactly 20 seconds later, Sanchez volleyed another shot just past Esteban Gonzalez's fingertips, closing CSUP's lead by two with four minutes left in the match.
STATS FROM THE GAME
- Fifth year midfielder Drew Sanchez logged two goals for UCCS within 20 seconds of each other in the second half. Both goals were unassisted.
- CSUP led in shots, totaling 14 to UCCS' ten. The Thunderwolves recorded nine shots on goal compared to the Mountain Lions' four.
- Goalkeeper Hugo Sjöberg was the sole Mountain Lion player to log the entire 90 minutes, facing 14 shots and recording five saves during the match.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Tonight's match marks senior forward Miles Seminario's 80th game played in his career, which ties him for the all-time program lead with Kolby Raineri (2019-2023).
- With Seminario's single shot on goal against the Thunderwolves, he moves into a tie for fifth all-time in program history, totaling 59 throughout his career.
