KENOSHA, Wis. – The University of Colorado Colorado Springs women's cross country team wrapped up the 2025 season Saturday morning at the 2025 NCAA Division II National Championship meet, held in Kenosha, Wis. on the campus of the University of Wisconsin-Parkside. The Mountain Lions collected 208 points to finish an impressive sixth place out of the top 34 teams in Division II.

AROUND THE COURSE
- The Mountain Lions were led by Kseniya Nikanorov's All-America performance when she led the pack with a 38th-place finish in 21:03.9.
- Just missing the All-America award was Elizabeth McQuitty, who finished 41st overall in 21:05.0
- Maddie Ruszkiewicz was only four seconds behind McQuitty, crossing the finish line in 21:09 to finish 44th overall.
- Kate Henderson and Madison Brosig rounded out the Mountain Lion scorers, finishing 54th (21:20) and 58th (21:24) place, respectively.
RACE LEADERS
- Grand Valley State University won the 34-team meet, garnering 65 points to finish four points ahead of runner-up Colorado School of Mines.
- Tristian Spence of Adams State University bested all 262 runners with a first-place finish in a time 20:11.
BEYOND THE FINISH LINE
- The Mountain Lions' sixth-place team finish is the second-best finish in program history (fourth place, 2022).
- Nikanorov recorded a new 6k PR time of 21:03. Also running to a new personal best time was Ruszkiewicz (21:09).
UP NEXT
- Today's national meet concludes the 2025 cross country season. The Mountain Lions will now turn their attention to the 2025-25 indoor track and field season.
