All-Time Series: With their win on Sunday UCCS extended their all-time series lead over Adams State to a dominant 21-2-1.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • The game started fast as Cameron Radeke rocketed the ball off the crossbar. The Grizzlies threatened on the counterattack, but an incredible block by Jackson Million canceled out the ASU opportunity.
  • Cole Wearner drew a foul in the 18-yard box, and Miles Seminario capitalized on the penalty kick, sneaking it past Grizzly Freshman Goalkeeper Josh Kropf and giving UCCS a 1-0 lead in the 25th minute.
  • Seminario netted his second goal in the 41st minute after receiving a cross from Diego Macias and putting the ball past the diving Kropf.
  • A red card was assessed to Grizzly defender Jadon Fambro in the 54th minute for denying an obvious goal scoring opportunity. UCCS capitalized ten seconds later as Caden Hickcox scored his first career goal to make the Mountain Lion lead 3-0.
  • Kropf received a red card in the 59th minute for denying an obvious goal scoring opportunity by handling the ball outside of the box, but Lars Ostermann came in to man the frame for the Grizzlies and immediately saved his first opportunity on the free kick.
  • In the 73rd minute Jack Cook passed the ball into the box and Kieron Richardson headed it past Ostermann for his first career goal. Two minutes later Cole Wearner put the ball past Ostermann again as the Mountain Lions took a 5-0 lead.
  • UCCS controlled possession for the last 30 minutes of the game with an 11-to-9-man advantage to close out the 5-0 win.
STATS FROM THE GAME
  • The Mountain Lions outshot the Grizzlies 39 to two and had an advantage of 13 to one for shots on goal.
  • Hugo Sjöberg recorded his fourth clean sheet of the season while playing the full 90-minutes in frame.
  • Seminario recorded his second multi-goal game of the season today as he pushed his total on the season to six, tying Nick Walker for the team lead.
  • Wearner's goal in the 75th minute was his second, joining Walker and Seminario as the only three Mountain Lions with multiple goals this year.
