DENVER, Colo. – The University of Colorado Colorado Springs men's soccer team stayed unbeaten in conference play with a 1-0 victory over Regis University on Sunday afternoon at the Regis Turf Fields. Senior forward
Nick Walker scored the lone goal in the 83rd minute, lifting the Mountain Lions to 6-3-3 overall with a 4-0-0 record in RMAC play.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Both teams battled through a tightly contested first half that ended scoreless, with neither side able to find a breakthrough. UCCS created several early opportunities, including a free kick chance in the 20th minute, but the Regis defense held firm.
- The Mountain Lions controlled much of the second half, outshooting the Rangers 9-3. The breakthrough came in the 83rd minute when Nick Walker buried a shot off an assist from Luke Noameshie, giving UCCS the lead.
- Goalkeeper Hugo Sjöberg and the Mountain Lion defense held strong through the final minutes, limiting Regis to just one shot on goal all match to secure the clean sheet.
STATS FROM THE GAME
- The Mountain Lions held a stark advantage in total shots (14-6) and shots on goal (5-1) while racking up a season-high nine corner kicks.
- Walker extended his team-lead in goals with his sixth of the season as he also tied for the team-lead with three shots and paced the Mountain Lions with two shots on goal.
- Noameshie and Miles Seminario matched Walker with three shots apiece, while Diego Macias added a pair of shots.
- UCCS had four field players log 90-minute performances on Sunday, including Noameshie, D. Macias, Dimitrios Leonoglou, and Dalton Uehling.
- Sjöberg recorded a clean sheet in frame for the second consecutive match, nabbing one save while playing the full 90-minutes.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- The Mountain Lions improved to 4-0-0 in RMAC play, remaining undefeated in conference
- Walker's goal was his sixth of the season and the match-winner for UCCS. The senior forward has now scored the game-winning goal in five of the Mountain Lion's six victories this season.
- Sjöberg recorded his third shutout of the season.
