HOW IT HAPPENED:

UCCS continued to attack in Yellowjacket territory, recording a pair of shots from Sybren Russell and Kaydon Zamora-Reeves in the fourth minute, both of which were off target.

- In the 70th minute, Yellowjacket's all-conference defender Luca Battistotti received his second yellow card of the game, resulting in his ejection and forcing MSU Billings to play down a man for the remainder of the game.
- UCCS continued to pepper the goal in the final 20 minutes of regulation, firing off nine shots toward the Yellowjacket's goal, but were again unable to convert, pushing the match into overtime.
- In the first overtime period, the Mountain Lions best chance to score the game-winning goal came in the 94th minute when Raineri fired a liner to bottom right corner of the goal that was saved by Theodoulidis.
