TAMPA, Fla. – No. 7 University of Colorado Colorado Springs posts their first shutout of the season as a first half

HOW IT HAPPENED:
• The first half was all UCCS as the Mountain Lions registered eight shots before
Tarah Patterson netted the first score of the game in what would be the game-winner in the 29
th minute.
• With a 1-0 lead, the Mountain Lions went back on offense with freshman
Jadyn LeDoux landing a shot on frame in the 36
th minute as UT came away with the save to maintain the 1-0 UCCS advantage.
• UT recorded their first and only shot on goal of the half in the 39th minute followed by a second shot in the 43
rd minute that missed wide as the UCCS backline held the Spartans to just two shots in the opening 45 minutes.
• Tampa came out in the second half to double their first half shots and shots on goal but UCCS'
Chloe DeShazer stopped the Spartans by making both saves in the 68
th minute and 74
th minute.
• As the Mountain Lion backline continued to keep the Spartan offense off-balance, UCCS made one last push in the final 10 minutes by recording five shots in that time frame, including a
Zoe Sims shot on goal during the 83
rd minute that Lovis Camel haulted to keep the 1-0 final in tacked.

• UCCS held the advantage in shots (14-6), shots on goal (6-3), and corner kicks (4-2).
• Redshirt freshmen

Makenna Fowler each post a game high 90 minutes.
• Chloe DeShazer improves to 4-1 in frame after bagging three saves and registering her first shutout of the season.
• 18 different Mountain Lions saw action on the pitch Wednesday night with
Zoe Sims recording a game high two shots on goal.
• UCCS started the match by firing off eight shots before Tampa's first shot in the 39
th minute.

• Tarah Patterson scores her 68
th career goal and is now one goal shy of tying the program's all-time record (69).
• UCCS has posted a first half shutout in three consecutive games.
• Chloe DeShazer notches her fifth career shutout as a Mountain Lion.
