Amelia Junge tied a program record for most assists in a single game (3).
INSIDE THE RMAC QUARTERFINAL MATCHUP:

All-Time Series: UCCS leads the all-time series 9-4-3 against Adams State with the Mountain Lions holding a four-game win streak.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
• Tuesday night's RMAC Quarterfinal match was controlled and dominated by the UCCS Mountain Lions.
• In the first 10 minutes of the match, sophomore
Kaitlin Hinkle gave the Mountain Lions the early lead that they would not relinquish. At 8:04,
Amelia Junge landed a shot that was deflected towards the right side of frame where Hinkle finished it off for the 1-0 lead.
• That was only the beginning for the UCCS offense as they stormed back in the 27
th minute to increase their lead. A perfect cross from the far side of the field found
Tori Maydew in front of frame where she headed it past Grizzlies' goalkeeper Ashley Beers for the 2-0 lead, giving Junge her second assist of the match.
• Adams State went on the attack in the 40
th minute as the Grizzlies cut the deficit in half after Carena Wilson received a pass in stride to force a shot pass
Chloe DeShazer for a 2-1 score.
• But just 30 second later, UCCS brought the Grizzlies' deficit back to two scores with a little help from Adams State as an own goal put the score 3-1 in favor of the Mountain Lions at halftime.
• In the second half, UCCS picked up where they left off as three straight shots in the opening minutes led to Hinkle's second goal of the game and a 4-1 UCCS lead. On the score,
Tarah Patterson registered the assist as the redshirt junior moved herself to the top of all-time points leaderboard to become the program's new leader in points scored with 69 career points.
• From there, two more Mountain Lion scores were registered with
Katie Puchino netting her first goal of the season as Junge recorded her third assist of the match in the 73
rd minute. Later in the half,
Kelsey Lanham connected with Maydew at the top of the box as Maydew found an opening for her second goal of the game, bringing the final score 6-1.
STATS FROM THE DAY
• The Mountain Lions edged out Adams State in shots 23-6 and corner kicks 10-2 while also holding the advantage in shots on goal 13-5.
• Chloe DeShazer remains undefeated in frame with an improved 5-0 record as she bags a season high four saves in the win.
• Kaitlin Hinkle and
Tori Maydew each netted two goals and scored four points on Tuesday night. Hinkle recorded five shots with three of those landing on frame as Maydew finished with a perfect shots on goal percentage after all four of her shots were on frame.
• Tarah Patterson scores one point off an assist to become the program's new all-time points leader with 69 career points. Patterson also recorded a game high seven shots while adding two shots on goal.
• Katie Puchino scored her first goal of the season and second goal of her career as
Kelsey Lanham notched her first assist of the season.
• Amelia Junge ties the program record for most assists in a single match with three, tying
Tarah Patterson who recorded three assists against Colorado Mesa University on Sep. 9, 2018.
• The Mountain Lions six goals are the most scored this season as their 26 shots and 13 shots on goal are the third most this season.
BEYOND THE BOX:
• With Tuesday night's win, the Mountain Lions are now set to host both RMAC Semifinal matches on Friday, Apr. 23 and the RMAC Championship game on Sunday, Apr. 25.
• The Mountain Lions will face Westminster College on Friday at 4:30 p.m. as Colorado School of Mines will play Colorado State University Pueblo at 7:30 p.m. inside Mountain Lion Stadium
