COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – No. 7 University of Colorado Colorado Springs women's soccer posts an undefeated regular season after
Liza Louthan's game-winning goal sends the Mountain Lions past Metropolitan State University of Denver 2-1 in Denver, Colo.

All-Time Series: UCCS trails the all-time series 6-9-1 against MSU Denver with the Mountain Lions holding a four game win streak.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
• Sunday's match started off in favor of the Roadrunners as MSU Denver took the lead over the Mountain Lions with a goal in the 19
th minute.
• Down 1-0, UCCS proceeded to register four shots with
Kaitlin Hinkle landing a great shot on the crossbar in the 25th minute that just missed for the equalizer. As the UCCS offense continued on the attack, the Mountain Lions' backline held MSU Denver to no shots for the remainder of the first half with the Roadrunners maintaining the 1-0 lead.
• In the second half, UCCS found their opportunity to tie the game as
Ella Fischer was tripped up in the box which led to a Mountain Lion penalty kick in the 69
th minute. UCCS turned to the RMAC's leading goal scorer
Tarah Patterson who lined up and netted the equalizer to make it a brand new game, 1-1. With that goal, Patterson reached 68 career points and is now tied for the program's all-time lead in points.
• MSU Denver only got off one shot after the UCCS equalizer as the Mountain Lions' freshman
Makayla Merlo and Hinkle each recorded a shot on goal.
• Hinkle's shot on goal came late in the second half and nearly found the back of the net but MSU Denver goalkeeper Diyonus Walls put an impressive save on the shot to send the ball out of play for a UCCS corner kick at 86:40. Off the corner kick,
Amelia Junge passed in short to
Kelsey Takahashi who sent a ball into the box that found sophomore
Liza Louthan. At the 86:43 mark, Louthan sent a shot into the far left corner of the net for her first career collegiate score and the game-winning goal to give the Mountain Lions their undefeated regular season.

• The Mountain Lions edged out MSU Denver in shots 16-4 and corner kicks 9-2 while also holding the advantage in shots on goal 6-2.
• Gabrielle Laipenieks moves to 3-0 with one save in Sunday's win.
• Kaitlin Hinkle led with a game high four shots with
Makayla Merlo tallying two shots and a game high two shots on goal.
• Kelsey Takahashi came off the bench to record two shots and register the game-winning assist.
• Liza Louthan scores her first points as a Mountain Lion and does so in game-winning fashion with her first collegiate goal and game-winning goal.
BEYOND THE BOX:
• UCCS posts their second consecutive undefeated regular season as they extend their regular season winning streak to 30 games.
• The Mountain Lions are set to host an RMAC Quarterfinal on Tuesday, Apr. 20 as they finish as Rocky Division Champions. The remainder of the bracket along with seedings and hosting sites will be announced this week.
• UCCS has only allowed two goals on the season for an impressive goals against average of .286 per game as the Mountain Lions' scoring offense is averaging 2.714 goals per game. Each category leads the RMAC.
• The Mountain Lions have not given up more than three shots on goal in a single game this season.
• Tarah Patterson is now tied with Michela Mansfield for the program's all-time lead in points at 68.
