COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The University of Colorado Colorado Springs men's soccer team fell in a physical game against the Regis University Rangers, 2-3, Sunday afternoon at Mountain Lion Stadium.

All-Time Series: UCCS currently trails the all-times series against RU with 16 wins, 41 losses, and eight ties.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Jack Souder tried getting the Mountain Lions started seven minutes into the game, taking the first shot but missing just wide.
- The Rangers' Jean Carre scored the first goal of the game just under 12 minutes into the first half off a penalty kick, putting the score at 1-0.
- Just past the 18-minute mark Kolby Raineri attempted to match the goal against UCCS, but RU's keeper deflected both his attempts.
- At the end of the first half the Mountain Lions outshot the Rangers 8-4. UCCS had four shots on goal all of which saved by RU's, Luca Falagrady.
- Regis came out hard in the second half taking their first shot in the 90 seconds of play. Parker Klien's shot was blocked.
- Alex Andersson scored their first goal of the game at 47 minutes into the game, assisted by Adin Schwenke, 1-1.
- Liam McGuire gave the Mountain Lions the lead at just under 61 minutes, assisted by Dylan O'Neal.
- Regis scored their tying goal off a corner kick at 69 minutes in the game.
- At just past 85 minutes into the game Regis was given a card to the bench.
- In the final five minutes of the game Regis scored their winning goal, 3-2.
STATS FROM THE GAME
- Jake Zink had two saves on five shots on goal.
- Raineri led the team in shots with a total of five and three shots on goal.
- Shwenke had one assist for the game.
- Andersson and McGuire each netted one goal for the Mountain Lions.
- RU and UCCS each had 16 shots for the game.
