HOW IT HAPPENED:
It was the tale of two halves for the Mountain Lions as the first half saw no scores.

•  It was later in the 63rd minute that the Mountain Lions came charging back to add their second score from sophomore Kaitlin Hinkle as Patterson fed Hinkle in stride to bury the center of the net with Jaden Davis receiving the second assist on the play.
• Junior Taylor Wilpolt then joined in on the action to by making herself open at the top of the goalie box as Tori Maydew threaded a pass through a pack of Yellow Jackets to find Wilpolt who finished it off for the 3-0 lead and win in the 70th minute.
• UCCS' stifling defense along with Gabrielle Laipenieks' play in frame stopped Black Hills State dead in their tracks as only one shot and one shot on goal was registered in the second half with Laipenieks bagging the shot for a save.
