ALAMOSA, Colo. – Six University of Colorado Colorado Springs men's basketball players scored at least 11 points Monday night at Adams State University in a makeup game as the Mountain Lions bounced back into the win column with a 92-80 win. Tonight's win avenged a loss by the Grizzlies in the season opening contest on Dec. 5 (L, 78-85).

All-Time Series: The Grizzlies lead the all-time series against UCCS, 32-20. Tonight's win against the Grizzlies was the Mountain Lions third straight victory over ASU on their home court. UCCS has also won five of the last six meetings.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Mountain Lions used a very solid shooting performance in the first half to build a 48-40 halftime lead. UCCS netted 19-of-31 from the floor (61.3 percent) and 9-of-16 from three-point range (56.3 percent) in the first 20 minutes of action.
- UCCS jumped to an eight-point lead in the first six minutes of the game but the Grizzlies came back to snag their first lead of the game, 19-18, at the 11-minute mark.
- Trailing by one, 38-37, with just under three minutes to play in the first half, Wyatt Dolberry sparked an 11-2 run for UCCS to close out the half. Dolberry netted the first five points of the run with a layup and a three-pointer while Alijah Comithier finished the half making a layup and trey.
- Adams State scored the first bucket of the second before Bobby Martin propelled UCCS on a 12-4 run as the Mountain Lions took a 14-point lead early in the second half, 60-46. Martin scored 10 of the 12 points during the run, including the first eight points.
- UCCS closed the game mirroring their strong start in the second half. The Mountain Lions scored 11 of the final 14 points in the game to seal the win, 92-80.
STATS FROM THE GAME
- All five starters for the Mountain Lions scored in double figures
- Comithier paced UCCS with 19 points behind 8-of-11 field goals.
- Martin made 7-of-9 from the floor and 3-of-5 from behind the arc for 17 points.
- Wyatt Dolberry, who reigned in a game high eight rebounds, added 14 points.
- Geoff Kelly was nearly perfect from the floor, making 4-of-5 field goals and 3-of-6 free throws for 12 points.
- Nine of Jezza McKenzie's 11 points came from downtown (3-of-5) as he missed only two field goal attempts on the night.
- DaRaun Clark came off the bench to score 12 points on 4-of-9 field goals.
- Kelly dished out a team high five assists while Dolberry, Comithier and McKenzie handed out three dimes each.
- UCCS held an eight-rebound advantage, 34-26, and outscored ASU in the paint, 42-32.
- The Mountain Lions finished the night making 61 percent of their shots (36-of-59), and 48.1 percent from long range (13-of-27).
- The Grizzlies were led by Destan Williams game high 22 points and eight assists.

UCCS will stay on the road for their next two games. The Mountain Lions will play at Black Hills State on Feb. 12 at 7:30 p.m., and at Chadron State on Feb. 13 at 7:30 p.m.
