COLORADO SPRING, Colo. – The University of Colorado Colorado Springs men's basketball team goes down at home as they lose to the Fort Lewis College (FLC) Skyhawks by a final score of 83-64.

All-Time Series: FLC leads the all-time series, 38-13. The Mountain Lions had won two in a row against FLC going into tonight's game.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- In the first half, each team traded buckets for the first few minutes as the score was 12-10, UCCS, at the first media timeout. The Mountain Lions had an early 6-0 run to take a lead, but FLC answered with a 9-0 run halfway through the period to extend their lead to 26-14.
- The Mountain Lions tried to cut into the lead as the half was coming to a close, cutting the deficit to as close as 10 points with just over four minutes to go. However, the Skyhawks were able to close the half strong as they went into the locker room up 13 points, 43-30.
- Alijah Comithier led the team in scoring in the first half with 12 points. FLC's Riley Farris also had 12 points in the half to lead the Skyhawks.
- The second half was controlled by FLC as they never relinquished their first half lead.
- UCCS had an 8-0 run to cut the deficit to 53-46, but that would be the closest the Mountain Lions would come to tying the game. The Skyhawks answered that run with a 17-3 run that made the score 70-49 with 7:47 left to go.
- FLC took home the win by a final score of 83-64.
STATS FROM THE GAME
- The Mountain Lions shot 36.2 percent from the field (21-for-58 FG), 25 percent from three (5-for-20 3PT) and 70.8 percent from the free throw line.
- UCCS outrebounded FLC 36-28, including 13 offensive rebounds.
- Riley Farris of FLC led all players with 25 points and nine rebounds.
- Alijah Comithier led the Mountain Lions in scoring with 21 points and added six boards.
- Cameron Underwood notched 11 points and three assists.
- Patrick Lanipekun had a team high eight rebounds.
- Jezza McKenzie also contributed three assists.
