Lexi Rayburn (Bennett, Colo.) has been named the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Softball Pitcher of the Week.
In the Mountain Lions season opening game, Rayburn delivered the first win of the season after pitching a complete game in a 3-1 win over Fort Lewis College on Feb. 20. She held FLC to one hit and earned a 1.00 ERA in the game. Rayburn appeared in two games at the West Texas A&M Invitational, pitching 7.2 innings, allowing two runs on four hits, and striking out six players, five of which came against the Skyhawks. She posted a 1.83 ERA in the two games.
Rayburn and the Mountain Lions (1-3) will open their conference season this Friday and Saturday in a four-game series at Chadron State College (0-4).
