2021 Learfield Directors' Cup Standings

UCCS Ranked Seventh in Learfield Directors’ Cup Fall Standings

CLEVELAND, Ohio – University of Colorado Colorado Springs is ranked seventh in the final Learfield Directors' Cup fall standings for Division II, announced this morning by the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA).  The Mountain Lions have earned 211 points following the fall championships. 
 
The Learfield IMG College Directors' Cup was developed as a joint effort between NACDA and USA Today. Points are awarded based on each institution's finish in NCAA Championships.
 
Three teams qualified for the NCAA post-season this past fall.  Men's cross country garnered the most points for UCCS – 75 points – after their program best fifth place finish at the NCAA Division II National Championship meet on Nov. 20.  The women's cross country program contributed 72 points to the standings with a seventh place finish at the national championship meet, tying their best finish at the National Championship meet in program history.  Qualifying for their second Sweet 16 appearance, the Mountain Lions women's soccer team reigned in 64 points with a ninth-place finish in the post-season.  The Mountain Lions won their third straight RMAC Women's Soccer Regular Season Championship, and won the RMAC Tournament Championship, making it the first time in program history the Mountain Lions won both titles in the same season.
 
Colorado School of Mines leads all 157 Division II institutions with 373 points.  Ten of the 15 RMAC institutions are ranked in the fall standings:

20. Western Colorado – 166.00
34. Colorado State Pueblo – 129.00
42. Colorado Christian – 119.50
58. Colorado Mesa – 89.00
82. MSU Denver – 64.00
122. Regis – 25.00
122. Westminster – 25.00
 
The winter standings will be announced on March 31, 2022.
