Location: Mountain Lion Stadium | Colorado Springs, Colo.
Series: UCCS extends their win streak to seven against NMHU as the Mountain Lions hold a 12-6 all-time record.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
• It was a quiet opening 15 minutes for both teams with no shots recorded from either side.
At the 18th minute the Mountain Lions began to generate offensive momentum by recording five shots and two shots on goal in the following seven minutes.
• As the Mountain Lions continued to push, a scoring opportunity came in the 30th minute for UCCS after a little help from NMHU as a Sydney Lasater corner from the far side volleyed in the box leading to a Cowgirls' own goal and a 1-0 UCCS lead.
• The remainder of the half was no different than the opening 15 minutes for the UCCS defense as the Mountain Lions' consistent dispossession led to no shots from NMHU with UCCS carrying the 1-0 advantage into halftime.
• The Mountain Lion backline continued to dominate the Cowgirls' offense into the second half as the UCCS offense continued to chip away. Then in the 72nd minute the Mountain Lions found their break in the NMHU defense as the freshman duo of Jadyn LeDoux to Lasater increased the UCCS lead with a connection from the right side off the box that Lasater finished in the left side of goal for the 2-0 advantage.
• Right before the game reached full time, the Mountain Lions proceeded on the attack and tacked on a third score in the 89th minute off the foot of freshman Natalie Wilson who fired a strike from the top of the box into the top center of net for an unassisted goal and the 3-0 UCCS win.

STATS FROM THE DAY:
UCCS went on to outshoot the Cowgirls 21-1 in the contest as the Mountain Lions held NMHU to no shots through 77 minutes of play. UCCS also held the advantage in corner kicks, 11-1.
• Freshman Sydney Lasater posted a game high six shots and three shots on goal off the bench with UCCS substitutes accounting for 15 of the team's 21 shots.
Freshman Natalie Wilson nets her first collegiate goal and tallies her first points of the season.
Alexis Walker registers her first win of the season and fifth of her career after bagging one save and claiming the shutout.

BEYOND THE BOX:
• The Mountain Lions register their sixth shutout of the year after allowing a season low one shot and one shot on goal.
• Natalie Wilson becomes the fifth Mountain Lion freshman to score a goal this season.
• UCCS has scored in the last 15 minutes for the third consecutive match.
