HOW IT HAPPENED:
• The Mountain Lions controlled both sides of the ball from beginning to end on Sunday with the UCCS defense not allowing the Yellow Jackets to generate a single shot in the first half.
• As the UCCS backline continued to disrupt the BHSU offense, the Mountain Lions' nationally ranked offense went to work with redshirt sophomore

• On top of their one goal in the first half, the Mountain Lions made the BHSU defense work as 14 UCCS shots were recorded with six of those shots landing on frame.
• After claiming three of the UCCS' 14 first half shots,

th minute.
• The Mountain Lions were just getting started as they quickly went back on the attack in the 48
th minute with a Yellow Jackets' deflection off a UCCS shot that redirected into net for an own goal and a 3-0 UCCS led.
• In the 53
rd minute, BHSU got off their first shot and shot on goal of the match but freshman
Emily VanGundy stayed in position to register her one save for the game.
• With a 3-0 lead in hand, the Mountain Lions looked to build on it in the 71
st minute and were successful as a foul in the box led to a
Sydney Lasater penalty kick that the freshman buried to lift UCCS to a 4-0 lead.
