COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The University of Colorado Colorado Springs volleyball team split their two games against Westminster College this afternoon to end the day 1-1.

How it Happened
Match 1
· The Mountain Lions took the first set 25-23 behind nine kills and a .533 hitting percentage from Lauryn Shockley.
· Westminster took the next two sets in a row by scores of 25-22 and 25-19, respectively. Audrey Green led the team with seven combined kills over those two sets.
· UCCS bounced back by taking the final two sets, 25-23 and 15-10, respectively.
Match 2
· Westminster jumped out to an early lead and took the first set easily, 25-18.
· UCCS bounced back and won a hard fought second set 25-21 behind four kills and a .375 hitting percentage from Julia Geiger.
· UCCS struggled with the serve as they had 18 service errors in the match.
· Westminster went on to claim wins in two straight sets, 25-22 and 25-21, to take the match 3-1.

Beyond the Box Score.
· The 2020 volleyball season was postponed to Spring 2021. All RMAC teams other than New Mexico Highlands University will be participating in the Spring season. The RMAC Tournament will take place April 8-10.

The Mountain Lions are scheduled to play in another pod on Feb. 7. The pod will feature Regis University and Colorado Christian University and will be played at the Regis Fieldhouse in Denver, Colo. Matches are set to begin at 10 a.m.
