PUEBLO, Colo. – After scoring 30 points in the opening half and holding a 30-25 lead at halftime, the University of Colorado Colorado Springs women's basketball team was slowed down at Colorado State University Pueblo in the second half. UCCS was outscored in the final 20 minutes, 37-20, as they lost a 62-50 decision Saturday night at Massari Arena in Pueblo, Colo.

HOW IT HAPPENED
UCCS opened the game by scoring the first five points.
Ellie Moore put UCCS on the board with a jumper, followed by a steal from
Bo Shaffer that led to the first of two straight three-pointers from
Abby Feickert.
UCCS trailed by one point after the opening stanza, 16-15, but came back to outscore the Pack in the second quarter, 15-9, leading to a 30-25 halftime lead.
Feickert scored all 12 of her first half points from three-point range as she made 4-of-6 from downtown. She added three rebounds, an assist, and a block in the first half.
Holding a 30-25 lead to start the second half, the Mountain Lions were outscored in the second half, 37-20 including 15-8 in the final stanza.
Trailing by four points in the fourth quarter,
Tatum Tellin sank a three-pointer with 3:20 left in regulation to bring the Mountain Lions within one point of the Pack, 51-50, but CSU Pueblo closed the game on an 11-0 run behind five field goals.
STATS FROM THE GAME
Feickert led all players with 17 points, 12 of which came from long distance. She added five rebounds, an assist and blocked shot.
Moore and Tellin were the second leading scorers for UCCS with eight points each. Moore blocked two shots and dished out three assists while Tellin pulled in four rebounds.
Jessica Nation came off the bench to record a team high six rebounds and three dimes.
Shaffer collected all three of her points in the first half from a three-pointer. She added a game high five steals and four rebounds in the first 20 minutes of action.
UCCS blocked a season high seven shots and added seven steals.
The Mountain Lions shot 32.8 percent from the floor (19-of-58) and 5-of-8 from the free throw line
(62.5 percent).
Three ThunderWolves scored in double digits with JaNaiya Davis notching a team high 16 points. The Pack made 40.7 percent in field goals and 66.7 percent from the charity stripe (10-of-15).

The Mountain Lions are playing a makeup game at Colorado School of Mines on Monday, Jan. 18 at 12 p.m. The game was originally scheduled to be played in Golden, Colo. on Dec. 12.
