COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The 2020 University of Colorado Colorado Springs men's soccer team signs two more student-athletes from their recruiting class as Garrett Daulong and Oboyo Kuot are set to join the Mountain Lions this fall.

"We are looking forward to these two recruits joining us for the upcoming season," stated UCCS Men's Soccer Head Coach Brian Miller. "Garrett and Oboyo will continue to push us forward."

A Rockwall, Texas native, Garrett Daulong transfers in from Gardner-Webb University as a center/outside back. In 2019, Daulong graduated from Rockwall-Heath High School where he earned several awards such as all-district first team, Team Defensive Player of the Year, and TASCO All-Region. Early on in his high school career Daulong helped Rockwall-Heath win the program's first ever district championship in 2016. Outside of his high school success, Daulong plays for Solar Soccer Club who was ranked No. 3 in the nation. Daulong and Solar Soccer were USYS Regional semifinalists in 2017 then finalists a year later in 2018 as they were crowned Texas State Champions in 2017. From 2018-20, Daulong and the Solar Soccer Club were named Las Vegas Mayors Cup Champions in 2018 and 2020 while becoming semifinalists in the same tournament in 2019. In the same time frame, they qualified for the Dallas Cup (2018, 2019, 2020), took first place in the ECNL Texas Conference (2019), and were Ken Smith Memorial Day Champions (2019).

"Garrett Daulong is an exciting NCAA Division I transfer that has seen some great accolades playing with one of the top clubs in Texas," said Miller.

Coming fresh off an impressive 2019 season at Rampart High School, Oboyo Kuot (Colorado Springs, Colo.) joins the Mountain Lions after graduating from Rampart in 2020. Selected as Gazette Preps Boys' Soccer Peak Performer of the Year in 2019, Kuot played in 18 games with the Rampart Rams and recorded 89 shots as he tallied 57 points off 26 goals and five assists. Kuot was named to the All-State Second Team as he helped the Rams to a 5A State Quarterfinal appearance. Kuot topped off the 2019 season by being voted the team's Best Striker of the Year and Top Scorer.

"Oboyo Kuot is a flashy local player from Rampart High School who saw a large amount of success," said Miller. "Oboyo finished as one of Colorado's leading scorers across all divisions."

Daulong and Kuot join 13 student-athletes in this year's UCCS Men's Soccer signing class.
