COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – For the 32
nd consecutive semester and the 16
th straight year, the University of Colorado Colorado Springs athletic department has boasted a 3.00 GPA or higher as the Mountain Lions earned a 3.39 GPA for the spring semester.
Additionally, 130 student-athletes were named to the President's List (58) Dean's List (72). To qualify for these semester honors, students must be enrolled in a minimum of 12 graded hours during a regular semester (Fall or Spring). Students who achieve a 3.75-3.99 grade point average are placed on the Dean's List. Students who achieve a 4.0 grade point average are placed on the President's List.
Fifteen programs registered at least a 3.00 GPA in the spring semester, including six programs with a 3.50 GPA or higher. Women's golf, softball and women's cross country produced an impressive 3.7 or higher GPA. Women's golf led all 16 programs with a 3.73 GPA, edging softball (3.72) by .01 points and women's cross country (3.70 GPA).

This is such an impressive feat, to have a 3.4 department GPA, as well as to continue to the streak to 32 consecutive semesters – 16 years with a department GPA of 3.0 or better! Well done Mountain Lions!"
Individually, the Mountain Lions racked up more than 140 academic awards this past season. Soccer student-athletes

Matt Clarke earning CoSIDA Academic All-District honors. Track & field student-athletes
Will Ross and
Maia Austin were voted the RMAC Indoor Track & Field Athletes of the Year. Additionally, Austin earned the RMAC Summit Award for cross country and indoor track and field, as
Ella Fischer was named the RMAC Summit Award winner for women's soccer.
At the conference level, more than 130 Mountain Lions were selected to the RMAC All-Academic team, including 21 RMAC All-Academic First Team selections. The Mountain Lions department GPA for the entire 2019-20 academic year was a 3.33.
