CHADRON, Neb. – Caley Barnard hit a layup one minute after tip-off and the University of Colorado Colorado Springs women's basketball team controlled the last 39 minutes to earn a 70-64 win at Chadron State College Saturday night.  The win improves UCCS to 7-16 overall and a 6-11 mark in RMAC games.

UCCS scored the first eight points of the game and outscored the Eagles in the first quarter, 22-5.  The Mountain Lions, who never trailed the Eagles, held a 43-29 lead at halftime and edged CSC in the second half, 37-35.

Holding onto a three-point lead in the final 50 seconds of regulation, 65-62, the Mountain Lions were fouled three times and sank 5-of-6 free throws to seal the road win.

Ellie Moore led UCCS with a game high 11 points after making 5-of-8 field goals and 2-of-3 free throws. She added a team high five rebounds to go with two steals and one blocked shot.
