COLORADO SPRNGS, Colo. – University of Colorado Colorado Springs head men's basketball coach
Jeff Culver has announced Keegan Phillips as his first National Letter of Intent (NLI) signee to the 2021-22 program.
"We are thrilled to have Keegan join our family from just up the road in Douglas County," commented Culver. "He has been on our radar for a while, but really impressed us with his huge strides this off-season. Keegan competes at high level and is in range once he walks in the gym. Along with Keegan's high academic nature, we expect him to thrive at UCCS on the court as well as in the classroom."
Phillips will graduate from Douglas County High School in Castle Rock, Colo. this spring. He owns a 3.83 grade point average and averaged 10 points and five rebounds per game for the Huskies last season. Following his junior season in 2019-20, Phillips was named All-Continental Conference Honorable Mention.
The Mountain Lions opened the 2020-21 season this past Saturday against Adams State University. UCCS will play host to Colorado State University Pueblo on Thursday, Dec. 10 at 7:30 p.m.
