How it Happened
- The Grizzlies jumped out to an early lead as they scored 17 unanswered points in the first four and a half minutes of the game. Frederick Jackson scored 9 of the team's 17 points in that stretch.
- The Mountain Lions clawed their way back into the game, scoring 14 unanswered points to bring the scored to 14-17 as DaRaun Clark led the charge in that run.
- The first half ended with ASU leading by a score of 41-33.
- The Mountain Lions trailed for the majority of the second half as they slowly cut into the Grizzlies' lead. UCCS was able to tie the game at 73 with about two and half minutes left in the game.
- From that point ASU was able to pull away as they took the win by a final score of 85-78.
Stats from the Game
- Alijah Comithier led the way for the Mountain Lions with a team high 23 points, followed by DaRaun Clark with 15 points.
- ASU's Frederick Jackson led all scorers with 31 points in the game and he added 10 rebounds.
- The Mountain Lions committed 18 turnovers to the Grizzlies' 13, but UCCS out-rebounded ASU 42-30 in the contest.
