COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The University of Colorado Colorado Springs men's basketball team used an 11-0 run to open Thursday's home game against Colorado State University Pueblo, helping the Mountain Lions to their first win of the season, 83-67.
The win evens their record to 1-1 (1-1 RMAC) while the loss drops the Pack to 0-2 overall (0-2 RMAC).

HOW IT HAPPENED
William Becker and
Alijah Comithier combined for eight of the Mountain Lions first 11 points as UCCS outscored the ThunderWolves, 11-0, in the first four minutes of action. Becker started the game by winning the jump ball and then hitting a jumper in the paint, followed by a three-pointer and a basket from
Devin Roland.
The Mountain Lions went on another double-digit scoring run later in the first half. UCCS made 4-of-5 field goals (1-for-1 three-point field goals) and 3-of-4 free throws as six Mountain Lions contributed to a 12-0 run.
UCCS never trailed in the game and led by as many as 31 points, 66-35, after
DaRaun Clark made a floating jump shot with 12 minutes left in the second half.
STATS FROM THE GAME
Four Mountain Lions scored in double figures behind Becker and Clark's team high 13 points. Comithier chipped in 12 points while
Wyatt Dolberry netted 10.
Dolberry posted a double-double with 10 points and a career-high 11 rebounds (eight defensive) while dishing out three assists for his first career double-double.
The Mountain Lions shot a solid 51.6 percent from the floor in the first half (16-of-31) and 62.5 percent from long range (5-of-8). UCCS finished the game hitting 47.5 percent in field goals (29-of-61) and 9-of-18 from three-point range while missing only two free throw attempts (16-of-18, 88.9 percent).
The ThunderWolves' Tre Brown led all scorers with 20 points. CSUP was held to 9-of-25 field goals in the first half (36 percent), including 0-for-7 from downtown.
BEYOND THE BOX
All 12 Mountain Lions that suited up for tonight's game saw playing time while 10 Mountain Lions scored at least four points.
