COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – University of Colorado Colorado Springs men's basketball head coach Jeff Culver announced the signing of Jeremiah (Jezza) McKenzie to a National Letter of Intent.  A native of Horsham, Victoria, Australia, McKenzie will join the Mountain Lions program next fall.

"We are thrilled to have Jezza join our Mountain Lion family," said Culver.  "He checks all of the boxes for what we want at his position and look forward to getting him on campus this fall."

A 6-foot-4 guard, McKenzie graduated from Ballarat Grammar School in 2019.  He led the Ballarat Miners to the Big V men's youth league one championship title this past season.  The Les Hotchin League Most Valuable Player in 2019, McKenzie averaged 15 points, seven rebounds and four assists per game while shooting a solid 44 percent from the floor and 39 percent from three-point range.

The Mountain Lions are currently sitting in a tie for fourth place in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference standings with a 6-3 record (10-4 overall).  UCCS will play at Black Hills State on Friday, and at South Dakota School of Mines on Saturday.
