COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The University of Colorado Colorado Springs men's soccer team dropped the first game of Homecoming weekend to Westminster College (WC). UCCS fell by a score of 3-0 to the Griffins in Friday's physical matchup.
UCCS (1-4-1, 0-3 RMAC) played WC (5-2, 3-0 RMAC) tough but could not find the net as they outshot the Griffins 16-13 in the game, with the Griffins owing a slight advantage in shots on goal at 6-5. Freshman

th minute, giving the Griffins a 1-0 lead after one half.
In the second half, UCCS outshot WC 12-7 but could not manage to score. The Griffins would add two more goals in the half scored by Brody Nelson and Danny Darelli to put the game away by a final score of 3-0.
UCCS has not been able to score in two consecutive games. The Mountain Lions will look to change that on Sunday against Dixie State University. The game is scheduled for 1 p.m. at Mountain Lion Stadium.
