COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The University of Colorado Colorado Springs women's soccer team cruised past Metropolitan State University of Denver on Saturday as the Mountain Lions topped the Roadrunners at a final score of 6-1 inside Mountain Lion Stadium.
In a match that was rescheduled due to weather conditions, No. 1 UCCS (15-0-0, 11-0-0 RMAC) came out guns blazing as they tripled MSU Denver's (6-8-2, 5-4-2 RMAC) shots 24-8, with over half of the Mountain Lions' shots landing on goal (13). The number one scoring offense put on a show as seven different Mountain Lions tallied a point in the win with
Shanade Hopcroft and
Tanner Sanders each having a multi-goal game, Sanders's first of her career. Hopcroft led the team with six points making that back-to-back games of posting six points for the redshirt junior. Senior

Saturday's match saw its first two scores within the first 10 minutes of the match as the Mountain Lions set the tone quickly and early. In the 4

Savannah Mills notched the double assist for the early 2-0 lead.
The first half scoring halted after UCCS' second goal, but the Mountain defense took over from there as they held the Roadrunners out of goal by allowing one shot and no shots on frame during the half.
After grabbing a 2-0 lead in the opening 45 minutes, UCCS came to triple their goal count in the second half.
Nicolette Sandoval and Sanders wasted no time as Sandoval found Sanders on one of her two assists. Sanders led off with a perfect shot in the top right corner of net from the left side of the field to bump the score to 3-0 in 45
th minute. Sandoval and Muir were then a part of a one two punch that provided Hopcroft with her second goal as she finished the pass to bring the score to 4-0, marking the Mountain Lions' second goal with a double assist in the match.
The Mountain Lions were still not yet finished as Hopcroft connected with Sanders on a cross in the 63
